Disable Refuge Intercom and Fire Telephone system faults

Recently we were asked to attend a large hotel in London, can’t reveal which one! We have not had any previous work for them so were surprised when the call came in. To our surprise, the manufacturers of the Refuge intercoms had told them that we were one of the best companies to contact to help them to resolve their issues.
Whilst on their regular system check the hotel security team had found that the disabled Refuge phones and the fire telephones had stopped working. They had already asked another company to diagnose the fault but unfortunately, they were unable to help.
One of our engineers attended the site the same day and quickly found the main issue with the system. They were able to get 70% of the fire telephones and disabled Refuge intercoms back up and working
The remaining 30% of the disabled Refuge intercoms and fire telephones were then tested to trace the remaining faults. These faults were located and by process of elimination, the faulty parts were identified. As these were not parts we keep in stock the parts were ordered straight away and the engineer was able to complete the job a few days later.
